The slow start to spring continues. Tomorrow’s forecast on the Eastern Shore, site of the proposed Saturday trip to Pocomoke State Forest/Nassawango, is for chilly temps with fairly heavy rain. Even after today’s warmth it will knock back a lot of activity. Saturday will be drier, but still cloudy with a chance of morning drizzle and a high only around 55 degrees. With this in mind, SATURDAY’S (APR 9) FIELD TRIP IS CANCELED.
Sunday (Apr. 10) is the official rain date, and the picture is not very clear on weather. There’s a good chance Sunday too will be mostly cloudy all day with a rather low temp for the high to boot: around 65 degrees. Might (or might not) clear up in the mid- to late afternoon. FOR NOW, SUNDAY IS A POSSIBILITY FOR HONORING THE RAIN DATE. Final decision tomorrow looking at the weekend updated weather forecast.
That’s April for you!
