Update on WABC Saturday Trip to Eastern Shore

Furnace Town Museum

Furnace Town Museum

Given the still-slow start to spring, even on the Eastern Shore, and the persistent 30% or so chance of thunderstorms both days next weekend (although that is farther out than I trust most forecasts), we’ve made a few changes to the itinerary.

Instead of staging at the Milburn Landing Area, we’ll meet at 10 a.m. at the Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum, off Route 12 south of Salisbury on Old Furnace Road.  The grounds open at 10 a.m.; there is a $5 daily use fee here (which is waived for TNC members, I understand).  Here’s the REVISED ITINERARY; I’ll post on Friday or VERY EARLY Saturday about washout conditions if there are any.  Please drop  a line to washbutterflies@gmail.com with a cell phone number (if you have one) so I know to expect you at Furnace Town and can contact you if we don’t see you there.
